How to fix album art on iPod nano 3rd generation?

I have about 40 albums stored on my iPod, and I know how to get album art onto iTunes and then onto the iPod, but 4 of the albums won't show the art although it will on iTunes. On my iPod, the album art box is completely black. Why is this and what can I do to fix it?
